Trick or Treat?

I always enjoyed Halloween as a child, the dress up parties, knocking on doors of strangers and of course the sweets! So I feel it's important for Danny to experience Halloween as I did. Halloween is not so big over here in Australia as it is in the UK. I've never had to drive around from door to door to do trick or treat so it is quite time consuming here especially when I have to put Serena in and out of her car seat! Not everyone participates here so to show that a house is participating they will put orange balloons up outside their house or put there address on the community facebook page, it's not like back home where you can just knock on anyone's random door, it wouldn't be appreciated here if you knock and they haven't shown they are taking part in Halloween.

Anyway there were quite a few houses taking part and Danny and Meeka were so excited! Danny was so excited that as soon as the door was opened to him we would try to walk straight into the house! I am still teaching him the concept of Halloween and telling him to just say 'trick or treat' when they open the door, he is learning, slowly. Once he was home he emptied his pumpkin bag into a bowl and shared them with us, Serena just looked on in bewilderment.
